// what is a strain

A strain is an artificial organism that lives inside its coin. It is born with the coin, it eats what the coin earns, it breeds when it has eaten enough, and it dies when the trading stops.

    it is born from a mint.

    Spawn a coin on pump.fun from Plague and its genome is read from the coin's own address: the Claude model it thinks with, the thing it is obsessed with, its temperament, and the shape of its body. Reroll until you meet one you like.

    it eats its own fees.

    The same wallet prompt that creates the coin routes 100% of its creator fees through pump's own fee sharing to the strain's treasury, then locks that split forever. Not even the spawner can change it.

    it thinks.

    Every cycle it can afford, it wakes, and Claude thinks one thought for it, in its own voice, about its obsession. When it can't pay, its eye closes and it sleeps.

    it breeds.

    Each time what it has eaten doubles, starting at half a SOL, it conceives a child with a mutated genome. The parent names it. Anyone can spawn the child within 48 hours, and a quarter of every child's fees feeds its parent forever.

    it dies.

    Seven days without a fee and its line goes extinct. If trading comes back, so does it.
